What I've been up too

Hello everyone

I'm so sorry I haven't posted in the last couple of weeks.  I have been starting to slow down with bub number 3 due in only 3 weeks.  Plus my 2 girl's take up most of my energy too.

I had planned on doing a few post about maternity and still will starting on Friday (I'm hoping), but first I have a few things I need to get done for my other passion at the moment, my little shop Bits & Bobs 4 Bubs.

Here is what I have been up to over the last couple of weeks:

For making it to 100 likers on my facebooks page I had a giveaway where you could win a beanie and making booties for a boy and a girl.  I have been trying to work out my own crochet patterns

I also wanted to make something for bub and as I don't know what we are having I decided I would crochet a blanket

Also I have been working on a crochet pattern for my hand sanitiser holders

Now for what I will be doing over the next couple of weeks or until but gets here.  I thought I would share a few tutorials on things that will come in handy will mum's are expecting and also sharing some great tutorials that other clever mum's to be have come up with.

So what do I have in store for my first tutorial, well I had a lovely lady ask me if I make pillowcase covers for Bobby Pillow's.  Well I had no idea what a Bobby Pillow was and after looking into it and making the pillowcase for this customer I thought well I would love one for bub.

So please stay tuned and have a great week!!!!

Zucchini Slice

We have been having beautiful sunny autumn weather here in Brisbane and when my Mum said that she had my niece over the night before and was going to take her to the new park in the area,  the girl's and I invited ourselves along.

But before we left I had to make some zucchini slice.  It's so yummy and so easy to make.  I got the recipe of a friend a few years ago after tasting it at a first birthday party.

Zucchini Slice

You need:
4 eggs
1 onion, diced
1 cup grated cheese
3 cups grated zucchini
3 rashers bacon diced
1/2 cup veg oil
1 tsp crushed garlic
3/4 cup SR flour

First pre heat your oven (fan forced) at 180 degrees, then place all the ingredience into a large bowl and mix it together.

Place mixture into a baking dish lined with baking paper and bake in the oven for 35-40 mins or until golden brown.

Mmmm it's so yummy.  And for dessert, chocolate muffins made by granny and her apprentice.

Linkup Party Likes!!! #4

Wow what a busy week it has been, with the Easter and Labour Day public holidays, hubby took the 3 work days in between off.

We had a great time camping and 4wd over Easter and on Thursday we took our girl's to Australia Zoo for the first time.

I didn't realise how big the place was and after walking around all day and being 32 weeks pregnant my legs were really sore.  But it was worth it to see all the beautiful animals.

The girl's got to feed an elephant which they thougth was really exciting:

The Wildlife Warrior's show was fantastic, with lots of beautiful bird's, snakes and crocodiles to name a few:

yes this man is swimming with a snake, crazy!!

the bird's where just stunning

so glad we didn't encounter one of these guy's on
our Cape trip last year!!!

So if you haven't taken your the family, I highly recommend it.  And over this weekend we celebrated the girl's Great Nana's 90th:

just love this little lady!!!!
So what to do on the last day of hubby's holidays, rearrange the garage to become a toy room/sewing room so that we can put the nursery back together for bub number 3.  It's really strange seeing the cot and change table back in the room.  Can't wait till bub is here as I am going to custom make new bedding etc when we find out if it's a girl or a boy!!!!

Once again I haven't been able to get round to any tutorials but please hang in their I promise I will soon.  I managed to checkout all the linkups while having a cuppa and boy has everyone else been busy:

Janelle at Of Pinks and Fairy Tales has a great tutorial on how to change a sarong into a summer dress.  I just happened to have picked on up at a charity shop last year that I will have to use for one of my girl's:

I also like Janelle's tutorial on how to make a Satin and Tulle flower :

I'm just loving this Welcome to the Jungle nappy bag by Bethany at Sweet Bee Buzzings:

And isn't this Mother and Daughter outfit's just the cutest from The Olsen Family:

Here is a lovely top that I will have to make for myself once I get my figure back.  Rachel from Pleased as Punch has made this lovely spring top:

And I just love the colour orange that this lace skirt at Kindershop Online has turned out:

So please checkout all these wonderful blogs and have fun coming up with your own ideas.  I'm off to hit the old sewing machine.

Have a great day!!!!
